The three partners who run Charles Russell's corporate/commercial
department in Cheltenham, namely Francis Rundall, Richard
Norton and Adrian Mayer were trained at Slaughter & May,
Linklaters and Simmons & Simmons, respectively. They have
extensive knowledge of corporate finance and general commercial
activities and they are recognised by both the Chambers Guide
and the Legal 500 Guide as being amongst the leading lawyers
in the country in the area of corporate finance.
In 2005/6 Charles Russell was in the top two firms in the
country advising on AIM transactions and a considerable proportion
of these transactions were done, and continue to be done,
in Cheltenham. We also advise on Official List transactions
and prepared one of the first prospectuses for a full listing
under the new Prospectus Directive. We are instructed extensively
on mergers and acquisitions and have in depth knowledge of
the takeover code. We also regularly act on venture capital
and private equity transactions.
In addition, we advise many of the leading listed and private
companies in the region on their general commercial activities,
including intellectual property, purchase and supply contracts.
