Ben specialises in all aspects of the planning system, acting for a range of developers, landowners, local authorities and other public bodies. His field of work includes compulsory purchase, as well as statutory challenges / judicial review, and has particular experience in relation to planning for new housing settlements, mixed use schemes, highways, and telecommunications development. Recent high profile projects include advising a developer consortium on the new Milton Keynes 'roof tax', the first new model ‘tariff’ based on s106 agreements in the UK, and advising joint local authorities in relation to the planning for Sherford new community in Devon (5,000 houses).
