Have you ever wondered what happens in an adjudication? This construction seminar will take the form of a mock adjudication to provide you with an understanding of adjudication and the process. The adjudication will consider four dispute scenarios in an adjudication brought by a contractor against an employer under the JCT 2005 Standard Form of Building Contract (with Quantities). Issues addressed will include valuations, relevant events, and time limits. We will finish the session with a short presentation from one of our non-contentious construction lawyers explaining how to take account of the issues raised in contract and sub contract drafting.

The Team

Our multi-office construction and engineering team has worked on some of the largest construction and engineering projects in the UK. We offer a full non-contentious construction and engineering law service (covering procurement advice, drafting and negotiation of documentation) alongside our dispute resolution services in the construction and engineering sectors.

In addition to acting for employers, contractors, subcontractors and consultants, the team also undertakes private client work in relation to a wide variety of projects and disputes.

Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession describes the Charles Russell construction and engineering team as "growing at an admirable rate under the leadership of David Savage, with little sign of abatement: three new fee earners have joined in the past year, bringing the total to seven. The group offers a full range of contentious and non-contentious construction work. Clients choose the firm for its "development experience, local government knowledge, ability to get to the heart of a matter and keen prices."
