OFT limits use of "de minimis" exception. The OFT
has decided not to apply the "de minimis" exception
to the acquisition of eight Berkshire newspaper titles by
Dunfermline Press from Trinity Mirror. Although the total
market size is below the £10m threshold, the OFT will
refer the merger to the Competition Commission unless appropriate
undertakings are given. The threshold was increased from £400,000
