State Aid

The European Commission has adopted a General Block Exemption Regulation. It consolidates and harmonises five existing regulations relating to aid for SMEs, regional aid, research and development aid for SMEs, training aid and aid for employment. It also creates a block exemption for environmental aid, innovation aid, research and development aid for large companies, aid in the form of risk capital and aid for enterprises newly created by female entrepreneurs.
