Charles Russell offers advice and support in fluent French
and English to those of our clients purchasing property in
France. The service is led by Virginie
Delplace.
One of the major differences between the laws in England
and France is that French law requires neither vendor not
buyer to employ a solicitor to represent them. Technically,
all the details of the sale and purchase can be handled by
a single Notaire, who represents both parties. Notaires are
not required to produce reports or searches and rarely speak
English.
At Charles Russell we strongly advise that you use an independent,
fully regulated solicitors' practice which is employed only
to represent you and your interests and whose advice you can
fully understand in your own language.
We also advise on buying and selling property in Spain.
